Coalition agreement confirms committment to PV
The Tory - Lib Dem coalition agreement has now been published. Whilst just a seven page document, their committment to renewable energy and feed in tariffs is confirmed in section 11 on the environment. If you follow the link you can read the document in a snazzy document viewer without having to actually download the PDF. THe relevant section is reproduced below:
The parties agree to implement a full programme of measures to fulfil our joint ambitions for a low carbon and eco-friendly economy, including:
- the full establishment of feed-in tariff systems in electricity – as well as the maintenance of banded ROCs.
Good news, and just what consumers and the PV industry need - long term government assurances that investing in PV and other renewables has long term backing.
